This aromatherapy Canine Insect Repellent is an effective repellent that not only smells great, but leaves no greasy residue on your furry friend's coat or skin. The essential oils of Cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica), and Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) are a great combination to deter fleas & mosquitos. Ticks specifically dislike essential oil of Kunzea (Kunzea ambigua), wild crafted in Tasmania. Animals in the wild of Australia seek relief from ticks under Kunzea bushes (called "tick bush"). The essential oil blend is diluted in Aloe Jelly and Organic *Geranium Rose Hydrosol (Pelargonium graveolens). It is difficult to imagine that any creature would despise the lovely scent of geranium, but fortunately, ticks and fleas hate it.
How to use:
Gel: Take a few pumps (1-2 for smaller dogs and 2-3 for bigger ones) of this sweet smelling gel mix and rub it through your dog's coat/on dog's skin daily. Concentrate on the places bugs travel: the scruff, between the legs and around the ears. Re-apply if you know you are going to a bug-infested area and/or after swimming.
Size: Available as an aloe gel (8 oz) or hydrosol spray (4 oz).
*Hydrosols are the aromatic water remaining after an essential oil is distilled by steam, and are the glue for essential oils to linger, because they are coating the skin/hair for longer lasting effects.
